The Company:

This is a strong, established, family owned company with a loyal customer base that has made them a success. A strong leadership team with the experience and commitment to support future growth. 

Now they are looking to continue strong growth while respecting and supporting the existing customer base. There will be a blend of developing growth by identifying and pursuing new business while also looking for opportunities to expand sales to existing clients. There is a full basket of products to be offered: roof and floor trusses, EWP, wall panels and stairs.

Compensation:

$110,000 to $120,000 per year, plus a strong bonus plan.

Job Description:

The creation of this new position represents a change in structure for the company. They have reached strong, enviable sales levels through great service, great relationships with their clients, and great product offering. 

Now they are poised to continue aggressive growth aimed to dramatically increase sales. Your role will be to manage the outside sales team, including leading, mentoring and motivating your people. Your client relationship skills will also be a plus as you help to grow sales to both existing and new clients. This is your chance to create and grow a sales team structured for success. You have existing experience in sales management in structural wood space with knowledge of trusses, EWP, wall panels and stairs that allows you to communicate company strengths to clients with credibility and integrity. Ideally you have experience leading a sales team, but proven sales professionals looking to use their strengths to lead a team will also be considered.

You will report to the company leadership team who are there to support your strategy.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, project coordinator, and scheduler to ensure peak performance and professional growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction and building materials industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure product offerings meet customer needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients to secure profitable sales.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of trusses, engineered wood products, and the construction industry will be key to your success
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the truss, construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance negotiable for the right candidate

Small town location, but close enough to the city that you can get everything you need. Or, live in the city and you will just have a short commute to work. Either way this is a great area to live and work with every recreational opportunity you could want.
