Job Summary:
A leading provider of building materials is seeking an experienced Wall Panel Designer to join its expanding design team. This is a full-time in-office position. The ideal candidate will have strong experience using design software such as MiTek or similar, and a solid understanding of residential and commercial wall panel layout, construction, and load path requirements.
Responsibilities:

Create accurate wall panel layouts, elevations, and shop drawings from architectural and structural plans

Design wall panels for framing efficiency, load path accuracy, and ease of assembly in production
-
Use MiTek Panel software, CAD tools, and Microsoft Office for design and documentation
-
Coordinate with engineers, sales, and customers to ensure design requirements are met
-
Respond to questions from production and field teams regarding wall panel packages
-
Assist with troubleshooting and quality control across multiple projects
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience designing wall panels using MiTek or comparable design software
-
Strong knowledge of structural framing codes, wall panel manufacturing, and plant operations
-
Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Office
-
Excellent mathematical, spatial, and analytical skills

Ability to collaborate with and mentor other designers
