Select   Position: Remote Truss Designer - Alpine J14034 Location: Midwest Candidate preferred Priority: Immediate Search ID: J14034 Details: Senior Truss Designer We are seeking an experienced Senior Truss Designer for an established component manufacturing operation serving primarily single-family residential construction, with additional multifamily work. The company designs and supplies roof trusses, floor trusses, engineered wood products (EWP), and related hardware. Approximately 70–80% of the work is tract, single-family, and custom single-family construction, with approximately 20–30% multifamily. Responsibilities Design roof and floor truss systems using Alpine software Review plans, specifications, and structural requirements Produce accurate truss layouts and designs for manufacturing Coordinate truss designs with EWP and related structural components Communicate with customers, sales, production, and other departments to resolve design issues Provide technical support and customer service Assist with mentoring and supporting less-experienced designers Manage multiple projects while meeting production schedules and deadlines Qualifications Senior-level roof and floor truss design experience equivalent to a JobLine-tested Senior Designer rating Strong proficiency with Alpine truss design software Thorough knowledge of residential construction, building plans, truss design practices, and component manufacturing Experience designing for tract, single-family, custom residential, and/or multifamily construction Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills Ability to mentor and assist other designers Midwest design experience is preferred Work Schedule This is a full-time position. The typical workload averages approximately 45–50 hours per week during peak season, including overtime. Compensation $36–$40+ per hour, depending on experience, plus overtime and bonus opportunities.
