Job Description - Outside Sales/Truss/Lumber

Our client is in search of an experienced Outside Sales Representative to market Roof and Floor Trusses, lumber, and other framing materials to building materials suppliers, small developers, and regional builders in the Central North Carolina market. This unique commission-only position comes with a 6-12 month guarantee and offers flexibility in structuring and receiving your commission. With sales expectations in the six figures for sales in the $2M+ range, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, providing technical product advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in outside sales of structural building components.
  • Strong understanding of truss systems and construction principles.
  • Ability to develop new clients and retain existing clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Travel is required, but overnight is not expected.

Education:

  • 2-year degree or work equivalency will be considered

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday 9:00 – 5:00.
  • Additional hours as required to complete assigned duties.
  • Your hours can be flexible, based on market requirements.

Compensation:

  • Commission only.
  • Initial guarantee for 6-12 months based on market requirements and is negotiable.Car and gas card provided.

Relocation:

Relocation is not available for this position. You must be located in the central North Carolina Market or within a reasonable commute.
