Compensation:

$100,000 to $150,000+ annually, based on experience and performance
Base + commission structure adjustable to candidate profile.

Compensation can have the security of a heavier weighted salary or even full salary.  Those packages might sacrifice some upside in good times for the security during slower periods.  Those who are comfortable with more of a commission incentive have higher potential.

Job Description:

A confidential manufacturer and supplier in the off-site construction space is hiring a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to drive truss and panel sales in a defined local territory. The role focuses on growing relationships with builders, developers, and lumberyards in the single-family, custom home, multifamily, and light commercial sectors. You'll represent a full product portfolio including roof and floor trusses, wall panels, I-joists, EWP, and related hardware.

You’ll serve as the link between customers, estimating, and production teams—tracking project timelines, maintaining CRM records, and ensuring customer satisfaction from bid to delivery. This role requires deep technical product knowledge, market insight, and excellent communication skills. Candidates must reside within the sales territory and possess proven experience managing complex B2B construction accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a customer base of builders, developers, and lumberyards

  • Oversee projects from estimate through order fulfillment

  • Coordinate with estimating and design teams to ensure accurate bids

  • Track projects and communicate schedules between customers and production

  • Maintain CRM records and follow up on all leads and accounts

  • Represent a full line of building components and hardware

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in building components or truss/panel sales

  • Proven record of success in outside sales

  • Strong technical product knowledge (roof/floor trusses, EWP, I-Joists, panels)

  • Understanding of blueprint/specification interpretation

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication

  • Proficiency in CRM, spreadsheet, and basic office software

  • Strong time management and follow-through

  • GED, High School Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
