This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to take full autonomy over an 8-person design team. With dedicated support from the General Manager, the successful candidate will structure the design department’s personnel and systems for the next phase of company growth while actively contributing to overall company management and direction. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow an established 8-person design team consisting of both experienced and junior designers. Supervise, train, and support the design team utilizing advanced personal knowledge of component design and takeoff processes. Structure design department workflows and systems to maximize efficiency and scalable growth. Contribute to overall company management and strategic direction. Qualifications: Extensive experience in structural roof truss and Engineered Wood Products (EWP) design, alongside component manufacturing leadership. Proven ability to manage, support, and build confidence within a design team. Deep understanding of industry-standard design software and department optimization.
