They are committed to delivering exceptional products and service, and we are seeking a skilled Truss Designer to join their team. Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Truss Designer with at least three years of experience to design roof and floor trusses for agricultural projects and single-family homes. The ideal candidate is proficient with Alpine, MiTek, or similar software and comfortable interacting with customers to clarify requirements and propose solutions. Key Responsibilities Design roof trusses for agricultural and single family residential projects using Alpine, MiTek, or similar software. Create floor truss designs for residential projects, meeting structural requirements and applicable building codes. Review and interpret architectural plans and specifications to develop accurate designs. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to align designs with client needs and production capabilities. Communicate with customers to confirm specifications, provide design options, and resolve concerns. Proactively identify and resolve design challenges to keep projects on schedule. Maintain accurate documentation of designs and project communications. Stay current on industry trends, software updates, and best practices. Qualifications 3 or more years of truss design experience using Alpine, MiTek, or similar software. Proficiency in roof and floor truss design for agricultural and residential projects. Strong customer communication skills. Familiarity with building codes, structural principles, and construction practices. Detail oriented, organized, strong time management. High school diploma or equivalent required. CAD experience is a plus. Location On site, central Wisconsin.
