Job Description - Truss Design Manager
This is a ground-up opportunity to bring your skills as a top Truss Designer to an exciting new venture!
The company has invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment from Alpine and needs a dynamic leader to take existing personnel and build a strong, efficient, and motivated team to support this location.
They will consider Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced level designers. Basic and some intermediate level positions are in office only, while upper level intermediate and advanced level designers may be able to work remotely.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, Layout, and Production drawings using Alpine software.
- Driving success and innovation in truss design

Markets Served:
- Contractors (Internal Framing Contractor)
- Single-family homes
- Custom single-family homes
- Multi-family housing
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of industry experience
- 3+ years in a Truss Designer role for single and multifamily
Required Skills:
- Design, layout, engineering, estimating, and production documents using Alpine software.
- Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and execute multiple tasks
- Effectively manage projects assigned
- Clear and accurate written communication
- Strong verbal communication skills at all levels
- Continuous learning, advancement, and achievement.
Skills Required:
- Alpine software expertise
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Math skills & blueprint reading
- Experience with specific Alpine brand IS required
Education Requirements:
- High School graduate
- Related Trade School certificate
- 2-year or 4-year degree (or equivalent work experience)
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- Average 45+- hours per week
- Standard working hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary + performance-based bonus
- Base pay range: $75-100k+ (depending on experience)
