Position Overview
This role is responsible for the design, layout, and optimization of structural wall panel systems, supporting residential and multifamily construction projects.
You will work closely with internal teams to produce accurate, code-compliant panel layouts and production documents that integrate efficiently with field installation and overall project sequencing.
Key Responsibilities

Design and layout structural wall panels from architectural plans and engineered drawings

Create panel elevation drawings, placement plans, and detailed production documents

Interpret building sections, shear wall requirements, and load paths specific to wall systems

Incorporate window and door openings, headers, and structural components into panel designs

Ensure compliance with building codes, engineering specifications, and project requirements

Coordinate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency
-
Optimize panelization for material usage, labor efficiency, and installation sequencing
-
Collaborate with sales, field teams, and customers to resolve design and scope questions

Revise and update designs based on internal review and customer feedback
Requirements
-
3+ years of wall panel design experience

Experience with MiTek Structure, Alpine, or equivalent wall panel software preferred
-
Strong understanding of wall framing, load transfer, and structural detailing
-
Ability to interpret architectural and structural plans, including shear wall layouts
-
Knowledge of panel manufacturing processes and field installation considerations

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Self-directed and effective in a remote work environment
