Overview:
My early career started in retail as a sales associate where I quickly advanced into management positions. This helped me develop my expertise in hiring, training and above all else developing talent. I cultivated my love for customer service and building rapport with my customers, managing my team efficiently, and increasing my store's profitability and measurable KPI's. I gained experience in inventory control, product ordering, mitigating costs, increasing sales, organizational strategies to manage product, documents, and supplies, as well as coordinating with management leaders and corporate entities to make our brands successful.
Looking for a better career path, I took a position as a truck dispatcher. Having experienced dispatching and knowing that was the route I wanted to go, I found a position with a component manufacturer as their building component dispatcher. I built great working relationships with my co-workers in the component plant and made the switch 2yrs later from dispatcher to project coordinator. I was able to be more hands on with our customers, and had more influence over our schedule and design/production capabilities making us more successful and profitable than years prior. We saw a large increase in our sales and productivity as a direct result of changes implemented within my department in accordance with changes in production, design, and sales that my co-worker and I were instrumental in making happen with the guidance of our manager. Unfortunately, our department is being realigned and remote positions are being eliminated.
I am currently looking for a new position that will allow me to continue to develop those skills in the Building Components industry as a project coordinator/scheduler/dispatcher/buyer/inside sales. My current scope of work includes scheduling, coordinating between customers, design, production, and sales, invoicing, Work Order processing, order placement, material procurement, helping receive RFI's, submittal approvals, stamped seals, and permits, evaluating contracts vs internal pricing to ensure correct margin percentages, as well as various other duties to help other departments.I am familiar with MiTek MBA and office related programs.
