Overview:
Experienced building components professional with approximately 25 years of truss industry experience and a background spanning design, estimating, design management, and division management. Experience includes both wood and light gauge steel trusses, with significant exposure to multifamily, light commercial, residential, and agricultural construction.
Advanced Alpine TrusSteel user with extensive experience designing light gauge steel trusses for final production as well as estimating. Also has substantial Alpine wood truss experience, including roof and floor truss estimating and design. Most recent experience has been concentrated in light gauge steel, but candidate is open to either LGS or wood component opportunities.
Management experience includes leading a department of 8 to 12 wood and light gauge steel designers and responsibility for project assignment, scheduling, estimating, design review, shop drawing completion, and coordination with customers, engineers, sales, vendors, production, and installation. Progressed to Division Manager with responsibility for the light gauge steel operation, including estimating, design, sales coordination, scheduling, and installation coordination.
This is a hands-on manager who continued to estimate, review designs, and complete truss designs while managing the department. Strong combination of technical knowledge, project coordination, and personnel management.
Associate degree in Architectural Design. Advanced skills reported in Alpine TrusSteel, CAD, and Excel. Design skills have not yet been independently evaluated by The JobLine because the candidate currently does not have access to design software.
